Although you may be willing to suffer a little hunger in order to lose weight really fast it is better if you are not hungry. Hunger is your body protesting and demanding to be fed. If you subject your body to a feeling of starvation for very long it soon learns how to store fat more efficiently whenever it gets the chance. Your body has to ensure that if another famine comes along you will have plenty of fat stores to keep you alive. So try to never feel too hungry when dieting. Choose a fast diet that allows you to eat something when you are hungry or which suppresses your appetite.
Best Fast Diet is Juicing
The best quick diet I have ever done was my juice fast. I lost 9lbs in a little over a week with that although I hadn’t expected to. I did feel a little hungry at times but on a juice fast you are allowed to have more juices whenever you feel hungry. The secret is to have more vegetable juices than fruit ones because fruit has a lot of natural sugars which cause a rise in blood glucose. Blood glucose means insulin will be released and insulin is a fat storing hormone.
What I loved about juicing was that when I was hungry I was able to drink some juice and that always calmed down my hunger. I drank about 10 to 15 cups of juices every day. All you need is a good electric juicer and lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. Juicing is very healthy because you are getting all those enzymes, minerals and vitamins. You drink far more nutrients than you could possibly eat if eating whole vegetables and fruit so it is a real tonic. You end up feeling and looking radiant.
Second Best Fast Diet
The Optifast diet is is probably the next best thing although not nearly as good for you as juicng. Optifast is often prescribed as a very fast diet before surgery. It consists of packaged shakes, desserts and food bars. They taste bland but not too unpalatable. You are getting only 800 calories a day with this super fast diet so you will drop weight very quickly.
You will be hungry and will often feel very cold as your body begins to try and hang on to its fat stores. You can’t eat out at all while on the Opti fast diet as you do have to stick strictly to the allowed foods. I don’t think you will want to be on this diet for very long but it has its place for an emergency fast drop in body fat.
