New Year New Diet?
Did you make a New Year’s Resolution to lose weight and get fit? New Year is when we mostly decide to compensate for our Christmas Holiday overeating isn”t it?
Watch out for a slew of fad diets ready and waiting to part you from your money!
Did you make the same resolution last year? The year before? Nothing to be ashamed of, so did most of us.
But are you thinner or fatter than you were then? If you are fatter, or maybe the same weight as before, what are you going to do to change things for 2009? Think about it. Have diets worked or not? Maybe you think it is your fault that your diet didn’t end up being successful. Perhaps you didn’t stick to it all the time? Well that is because diets don’t really work for anyone except the truly sainted.
This year why not do something different? If you agree with me that diets do not work long term then it is time to change tack isn’t it?
OK this is a diet review site but in fact diets are the problem. It isn’t possible to artificially restrict what you eat and keep it up for ever. The time comes when you stop and the flood gates open and you eat everything in sight. Studies show that food deprivation for a period causes post starvation binging.
